Avelo vs. Allegiant?
If you didn't live in base for either, and would be commuting either way, which would you choose? (key facts: I have less than 10 years to 65; home is northern(-ish) Virginia).

Commuting sucks, but Avelo does have a schedule that would allow for it. Allegiant is rumored to be incredibly difficult to commute. But in either case you would need a place to stay when you come back to base each night on rotation.

ATP written & course requirement
Current CFI here. Any recent R-ATP hires willing to provide clarification on whether or not completion of the ATP written and course is required to be hired? On their website it implies that they’re required but on airlinespps it say preferred. TIA

pretty sure the guys I have flown with paid for the ATP-CTP and had the written complete. I don’t believe Avelo is sponsoring that course. That’s yet of course things may change in this pilot hiring environment

Avelo news?
I've read on here that MCO is senior (ish) domicile. As a Direct Entry Captain, what are the odds of holding it (MCO) within a year? Is it pretty locked down or is there still movement between bases? How many pilots on property now (thinking about seniority progression). How is the attrition rate, are lots of guys leaving or sticking it out to ride this into the future? How does the future look at Avelo? What is the rumor mill thinking the next domicile will be? Not much info out there to make a career decision with (I'm around 50 and wanting to make this my last airline )...
