Does that one prevent the spread of yellow fever or just make you safe from it while still spreading it?

What is the upgrade timeline there for Pilots that meet the 14 CFR 121.436(a)(3) requirements? Are they holding upgrade eligible Pilots in the right seat for a while or upgrading fast?

IIRC they said for the next few classes they would be doing CQFO and direct entry. Sounded like they wanted more CQFO and direct entry would be more for people with a bunch of CA experience in a 737 already, but if they grow at the pace they say, anyone who wants to upgrade will get to upgrade in not that long. Their growth will be constrained by their ability to hire and retain, at least until/if things start going south at the legacies and the people who are currently bashing start-ups, find themselves begging for a job at one. I think if you go in and have the legal qualifications they want you in the left seat, but also want to make sure you're ready for the left seat. HVN isn't a place to be messing around.

Oh and they said they're having trouble with issuing new types because they have to use the FAA and are therefore subject to inspector availability. If this is indeed the case, having a 737 type would probably help immensely whether you want to be an FO or CQFO.

Thanks for the detailed info. That’s exactly what I was wondering. So… how do they pay the CQFOs? I’m probably wondering the obvious… $200/hr while in the left seat and $90/hr while in the right? So you could theoretically be flying Monday as a CA, Tue-Wed as an FO and then Thursday as a CA?

Just sent you a PM

I was received an email stating that you basically have to prove in training you can handle being a captain and you’ll move to the left seat, and if you can right away the hope is that you do very soon after OE then you can make the transition via line check and fed ride

I’m really curious what the work schedule is like for HVN based pilots.

How many legs per day? Is every day 2 legs (to Florida end back, then done)?

Assuming the pilots live in Connecticut, do they spend every night at home? Or if not, now many nights away from home per month?

How many days off per month, and how many credit hours per month (I think they have a 65 hr min guarantee - do they typically exceed that?)
