Nailed it regarding HH.
I was a DEC & everything promised he unilaterally took away. I wrote CEO as well basically saying if you want a Pilot Union, your CP is doing overy thing he can to get one. He lost 3 DEC is a few weeks due to HH. Lied to my face.
I left directly due to HH.
He thinks he is still in the US Army as a full Col.
As a Vet I've seen too many like him before.

What kinds of stuff were people fired or demoted for? Does he do stuff like question sick calls, change people's schedules, award lines or bases outside of seniority order to people he likes? I know the reserve rules changed for the worst, but what else? Has the CEO responded to the allegations against him?
These days, when people accuse someone of 'racism', I tend to discount their argument as just a personal attack against someone they don't like. Maybe the guy is indeed an assho1e, but most times when someone is called a racist, it's just because the accuser can't find a legitimate reason to not like them.

You are only as good as your last flight. Don’t make a mistake and have your career suffer because the CP HH is not capable of dealing with actual issues with actual people.

I would be careful about applying at Avelo. Guys have been disciplined without hearings or appeals. It’s documented on your company record. Good luck finding a job after that. The CP is former military without any people skills. He got an exemption from the FAA when he applied to be the Chief Pilot because he did not have the required leadership experience. The company got an exemption because they used his non-flying military experience to circumvent actual airline management experience.

You are absolutely right. HH is an idiot. A racist and an insecure little man. That's why he tends to bully those he dislikes. People like him become a liability for any corporation, so he will not last. Ignore him, that drives any bully crazy. But it's not as bad as you portray it. The Pilots can make it better. I smell a Union in the air.
