there’s ways around it. Corners need to be cut to stay in business.

No corners are being cut regarding rest rules. "Overnights on planes"= FDP scheduled to occur during what would normally be sleeping hours= back of the clock flying

Are you allowed to get off the airplane? Is the jetway hooked up and can you go into the terminal at 3am?

On the charters I have been assigned, there is no split duty and therefore no need for rest breaks. It's a normal FDP, and none of the above mentioned items are necessary. That having been said, we were parked at a name-brand FBO and could exit/enter as we wanted.

I have done ICE flights and there is no place to visit at 3am. We try to get rest inside the plane because the boarding procedures can sometimes take hours. Many times there are delays.

Like others have said, get the type and move on.
