Can any recent new hires share what the training footprint was like? The last one I saw was in this thread was posted back in March, curious if it is any different now.

First week from home - CPat and other company online stuff
3 weeks ground training
7 FTDs and 11 FFS sessions - approximately 22 days

Uh.

Unless they improved sim scheduling. Not even close to 22 days. At best you spend twice as many days as training events. On 4 off 3, on 3 off 4 etc etc.

Stuck at Avenger for 5 weeks to do FTD & sim.

Thanks for the info. Are there any breaks in there?

What about health insurance? Read thru thread and did not see it mentioned. Sure I missed along the way.
Thanks,

way less actual flying. Those guys could fly Lga bos in under 30 min, easy. 400kt indicated, 250 to the marker. I flew a lot of shuttle for many years, in a slower bird, and loved it. Most hate it. I hate transcons

Are there any overnights? Or is it always back-in-base each night?
how many days off/ month is typical?
how many consecutive days worked is typical?

Why avoid a regional? This isn't 2008. They're paying bonuses in the tens of thousands to guys/gals just like you. The money being thrown around should have you seeking out regionals. None of the fractionals are dishing out dough and youre not competitive at the LCC or Major level. If you're an rATP, you need hours anyway. Regionals have lots of bases; so you have plenty of options. You'll get hired. Go where you want, get paid a respectful salary, plus bonuses, and you'll be at an LCC or a Major in less than 3 years. Good luck.
