Why did they reduce the number of days off for reserves across the board though? Attrition getting worse again?

I kinda figured the RSW thing was going to happen since I'm sure they had a lot of people cancel their beach vacation bookings to RSW this winter since anything that was built on the beach is basically gone or not useable at this point and you can't really go into the water due to bacteria and debris still floating or buried in the sand. There were supposed to be a few places served from RSW, but now when you look on the website the only options are ILG starting in February and HVN.

Don’t believed attrition is any factor, in fact I think it’s low, but my guess is coverage and what is industry standard

Run from Avelo
Working Avelo Airlines for the past 5 months, this month bids went from 15 days of reserve to 18 overnight with no pay increase this is an extra month of work per year, plus terrible commuting schedules. The $1800 per diem is tax so you only get about $1400 which does even touch commuting expenses. Per diem is taxed too.

I highly doubt someone told you the commuting stipend wasn’t taxed, because I knew it was in a pilot meeting breifing they held over 8 months ago.
Per diem if not actually out of base is always taxed. That your governments tax laws.

What is industry standard for reserve days/month? There just hasn't been enough coverage to actually staff reserve. You will be senior quickly enough to be off reserve in no time and enjoy the average 16+ days off for line holders.
