For me it’s because I work 7 to 4, and I’m home for dinner every night while making 250k plus a year to fly a 737 up and down the east coast. A CEO that has live meetings with all crew members several times a month to update us on our progress, take questions and allow us to interact with all department heads. And an added bonus of not having to give any of my money to a union for now and hopefully well into the distant future. (Not downplaying unions as some companies definitely need them) Those are just my thoughts and experiences, others may very. However you don’t see many comments from our crew members bashing our company. And yes you have to be willing to take a risk and be flexible.
Could not have said it better

Doesn’t sound like you read too good. 70 being the minimum hours per month, not the average.
“ Monthly guarantee: 70 hours
Reserve guarantee: 70 hours
Minimum Days Off: 12 per month for line holder, 12 per month for reserve.
Any hours over 75 or flown on day off pays 125% of hourly pay”

As mentioned that was my situation here and it does not apply to everyone . I am also second year and have not flown a month under 80 hours this year not to mention overrides for instruction and OE and don’t forget we get 1800 a month on top of our flight pay. Not saying every captain here will make that but it’s a big factor in why I love it here.
