Saw the Avelo aircraft deplaning illegals on TV. This makes the air crews the same as mules for drug cartel operations. Trafficking in illegals is illegal.

This was just updated in Pilot Central. Any guess on the Florida base?
  • West Coast and East Coast bases (BUR & HVN). Adding a Florida base in June and additional base(s) before year end and every year.

Hmm...

What airports in FL are similar to BUR and HVN?

Potential reliever airports near a major metro area, even if little or no current airline service?...

KPIE?
KISM or KSFB?
KCRG?
KFXE, KPMP, or KOPF? or even KBCT?
KVPS?

Think outside the box for this one. It'll be interesting...

The area between SRQ and RSW has seen exponential growth and I believe both airports are being expanded so it wouldn’t shock me to see a base at one of those two. I’m on my way down there right now.

Please. Stop.
Avelo was contracted by a federal agency to haul 'undocumented' immigrants to other parts of the country.
And management decided to bid on the work. The pilots are just doing their job.

Any outrage over this should be aimed at the federal government, not the line staff of Avelo.

I'll make an uneducated guess ... MCO. That looks like it's the highest yield FL destination for Avelo based on a quick search of ticket prices.

Any speculation on how senior the Florida base will be? My van down by the river on my folks' 10 acres is an hour from MCO and TPA (used to wave as I went by doing the LEESE arrival into MCO)

They have not announced anything yet but I am sure it will be more senior than HVN.

How low does one need to stoop then, before it’s frowned upon?
