How many legs per day? Is every day 2 legs (to Florida end back, then done)?

Assuming the pilots live in Connecticut, do they spend every night at home? Or if not, now many nights away from home per month?

How many days off per month, and how many credit hours per month (I think they have a 65 hr min guarantee - do they typically exceed that?)

If you live in New Haven, you will be home every night. Two legs per day, out and back to Florida. Everything blocks at 6 hours round trip, give or take a few minutes, so 15 days of flying and you're at 90 hours with 15 days off. It's very easy flying. Guarantee is 70 hours now, but everyone is flying 90 hours/month right now.

On the pilot call, they showed pilot schedules, most lines were 15-18 off, that’s over guarantee pay. All their schedules are built to return to base every night, and it looked like Florida and back is all you could do legally if not doing an overnight.

70 hour guarantee. It’s home every night if you live in a base. They did say eyes on a Florida base have been set but did not indicate where.

Do commuters have overnights away from base or do they have crash pads for the out and backs?

There are no overnights at this point, although I'm sure some of those will be coming. Crash pads or mostly hotels for commuters now, but the stipend would cover those costs.

What's the pattern like? days on days off etc?

Did you apply through airline apps or email a resume and cv?

I couldn’t see clearly maybe someone that works there currently could enlighten us, but I applied through airline apps.

They said their ideal schedule is 4/4, and from what they put on the call it looked like the lines were about 4 days of work followed by several days off, it was hard to tell from the screen. But they also said all of that is subject to change and they're still trying to figure out what works best. I think they just don't know yet. They even entertained the idea of home based. The stuff they didn't have answers for they said they just didn't know. This year will be telling for how the future will look for a lot of places. Look at the surprise F9 and NK got (although to be fair, there were rumblings of that for years).

I think also adding airplanes this year rapidly hiring to support it, things will rapidly change over the next year here at Avelo.

Do you work there? Are people happy and sticking around, or is there a lot of attrition?
