Just curious... I haven’t been able to find out through the various articles. Was this guy giving his opinions in his own personal capacity or was he using his “status” as an AA pilot in some form? I checked out his Twitter profile and saw no mention of being a pilot.

I think his opponents defined “attacking children and people of color” as holding a different opinion than and even refuting specious or debatable statements made by those advocating for the program.
By not accepting and affirming their assertions of victimhood he apparently committed “micro aggressions” against them.
He should instead have “validated their feelings” rather than telling them his, because, you know, the ‘marketplace of ideas’ is in reality ‘an unsafe space.’

The people who lost by a landslide are trying to find any little bit of leverage on the guy to ruin his life, for daring to not conform to their viewpoints. Then he has other pilots badgering him on the internet, saying "Just do us all a favor, old man, and quit! Nobody wants you here anyway!"
