Which is likely why those getting the bailout aren’t posting their numbers.

Trucking pay compared to what? Compared to a CA with one of the majors, agreed. Compared to the median household income of $60,000 per year in the US, it is above average.

Amazing!
Sure. Because if someone created a thread called
“Trump is the worst”, there wouldn’t be people spouting off about how the thread is ridiculous and in bad taste?

Surprised so many need their “safe space” on the forums to enjoy an echo chamber with only those who agree with them

Some don’t get it. I was really posting for the folks that are furloughed or have an opportunity to take a paid loa. There is at least a way to pay the bills until this is all over.

One thing that humbled me is that the guys and girls in my class were thrilled to make $60k (many were laid off and wioa and cares were paying for their training) and I’m wondering if I could pay the bills. I’ve really been taking for granted how good we really have it. Median house income where I live is mid 40s.

PS. Owner/operators don’t have it as easy as people think, but there are opportunities if you’re motivated to get more than one truck.

I think you would benefit from consulting with a tax professional.

22k less than last year

On the other hand I have only touched a plane or simulator 18 days this entire year and took no leaves.

I do. That's state, fed and local tax withholding.
