Frankly, sleep (every night, all night -in my OWN bed) is one thing I get plenty of .. after nearly 30 years of up all night, dragging off to a strange hotel after dawn . . trying to crew rest with the maid banging the vacuum against the wall in the room next door. Anyway . .guess I will go get my nap now

So, were you one of those CA's that begin every first flight with the crew briefing, "Now understand, this HALF of the cockpit and all of the center pedestal is mine so don't touch a THING!"?

Peace

No. .but I distinctly remember flying with many of those types, as a junior F/O the first couple of years on the line. AND. .that was also back when smoking was not verboten in the cockpit. .and invariably, these toads were the guys who chain smoked . .until they dozed off for a nap.

I am still nursing a sore left wrist for getting slapped trying to tune a new VOR or change the radio frequency, covering for the jerk as he dozed.

I was ANYTHING but that type . .and think there are lots of F/O and S/O’s who will attest to that. We had fun . .and there were guys walking up to me until the last day . . saying that the particular trip we were on together was the most fun of their career .. up to that time.
