I seriously doubt this guy. He doesn’t even know the B plan contribution limits. If he made what he says he made, his B plan contribution would have been much more than 35K.

His numbers look accurate. If he maxed out his personal contribution to B/C Fund early in year, the rest would of spilled over into RHA. So he listed 35K in 401k, but there was also another 30k into RHA.

Ah, makes sense. If true, he is extremely good (or lucky), and I am extremely lazy (fact).

He is probably really senior SFO 777 FO. I think I flew with him. His wife is also 777 FO. (If it’s the same dude.).

Curious as to how one makes $420k in regular pay alone. Are the APC profiles updated for UAL? Using the calculator, 12 year 777 FO pay with the 70 hr guarantee comes to about $17k a month and about $200k/yr. Where does the other $220k come from for regular pay? Even with open time and late arrival etc, I'd think you would need to make over $300/hr with a little extra needed still. But then again, I was a history major...

He said he credited 1575(ish). I’m guessing getting bought off for OE. I didn’t do the math on the credit hours.

That would get him to 378k. Its the premium pay and SRM that would get him into the 400s. He said he did 45k in the first month of this year. That would be 187 hours of credit. Thats a 94 hours of flying at 100% premium
