if you are truly off all those days then you have found the holy grail of corporate.

Do you have to come in to work ever when you are not flying?

Not uncommon at the really good 91 jobs. I wouldn’t say Holy Grail.
Still might be a pop up or two a year, but you’re not on call like a reserve guy. I know a few guys who work 12-13 days a month, know their schedule 2 months out, firm by three months. All they ask if you are going to be far from on your off days you give them a heads up so they know if they have to call someone else.

Red said he worked 50 days last year, which is 4 days/month.
Big difference between that and 12-13.

How far in advance, a few days or hours? Or do you get your full month's schedule the prior month?

What are medical costs at the various airlines? Premium plus out of pocket max would be helpful info for discussion purposes because pay affect that.

15/28 off on average
There is a big diff if domestic or international at ups. Most 3 yr 74 guys are near 250k. Those living in anc and work it are high 300s and thats just w2 no bfund.

Yes, there are some things that need to be taken care of here and there but not much. Now this year things will be different and I will be putting in more time, but that is because I just took over as CP when our previous one retired after 32 years. It is a great job and company and I could make more elsewhere, but I would be hard pressed to find better QOL just about anywhere. In 10 years I haven’t missed a single birthday or anniversary, have worked very few weekends and nights and only 1 holiday (New Years Eve).

Weeks to months, in 10 years we have only had one true “pop up” and that was for an unexpected family death of one of our executives.
