I actually consider my 401k contributions to be just as valuable or more valuable than my pay. The whole goal here is to accumulate as much wealth as possible so that you can retire comfortably.

All the major airlines these days have very similar DC contributions so I’m not sure what value or new information you’re gathering. Maybe if Delta had 25% and everyone else still at 13%-16% you could see a drastic difference and how far behind your own airline is. I’m not saying it isn’t valuable when you reach 65 or whenever you decide to retire.

Deferred compensation is still part of total compensation.

Every percent is valuable and there are differences in the plans. As a example the Delta plan includes profit sharing as pensionable. That put a additional 12,000 into my plan last year beyond the 16%.

That's awesome! Unfortunately for me (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), I'd expect to work an additional 3ish days A MONTH if I were to go back to domestic. That really starts to dilute the pay per day gone from home (what I really care about). Living within short call range, I like to occasionally sit reserve, which is nowhere near as good a deal domestically.

Agree. Although I fly with a bunch of guys who would tell you that it's "promised" compensation. Understandable so in their case.

I would consider that more part of your profit sharing package, but yes that’s a game changer worth sharing. As well as retirement contributions while on LTD I believe as well.

How is it helpful info? If you want helpful info for an outsider, the only one that matters are first yr numbers. Posting 10 yr CA numbers is worthless to the new guy looking to join, because he isn’t going to be starting as a 10th yr CA. 10 yrs from now, the pay and contract will change so that info is obsolete for forward looking beyond the length of the current contract.

You are at your first year pay for 1 year.

Great info to know what guys that have been around and have the seniority to work the system are pulling in dollar and QOL wise.

Shy guy, it’s not helpful you’re right

Wait sorry my bad. It’s helpful for their egos.

According to some 747 cap many pages ago he made like 365 and is predicting a recession (which has been predicted for the last 2 years almost) so... you’re right. What do these numbers have to do with anything? 10 years from now when a 1 year guy finally upgrades (based on predictions of an economic down turn) what will he be making? $200 an hour?? Soo yah I agree. Apples to oranges. Bogus and literally useless information. Egos stoked.

Seriously, what’s your problem?? You said the same thing about 10 times. Get over it. Go find a new thread that you actually care about.
Stop wasting people’s time.
