Rog...I can usually swing 100 credit with 14-15 off or so. I’ve never really asked any other FO’s what they’re doing in terms of credit/days off so I was curious

Let me rephrase:
He said when he was hustling he averaged 17 days working per month. I’m not sure what the longest trips his airline offers, but 15 nights away should result in a lot more days away. A single 16 day trip could give you 15 nights away. Five four day trips is 15 nights away, and 20 days working.

I suppose there's math that makes it work, or he didn't phrase it quite right.

Jetblue 320 FO.
Not only a lazy commuter with young kids and a lovely fiancée but also dipping below zero on PTO bank regularly. About seven months of min credit lines, two vacation months in which I didn’t have any PTO to cover the vacation but I took the time off anyway, and three months of working ~80-85 hours. Average 16-17 days off.
I don’t know how to play the game—my credit and my block are usually exactly the same or close to it.
Regular Pay, incl holiday, premium, whatever, not including 15% DC, per diem, etc.: $144,000
Profit Sharing: negligible. Jetblue management, shame on you. Never has goodwill been so thoroughly squandered.
Happy New Year to everyone!

Employer: Fire Department
Longevity: 8 years total, 1 year at Engineer Rank
1. Hourly earnings - 105k
2. Per diem - none
3. Overtime/premium pay -30k
4. Profit sharing - nope
5. 401K - defined benefit plan- payed by employer. Guess they put around 40k in. I contributed about 10k into my 457 plan I get on top of my PERS
6. Total - they said they spent about 180k on me according to the transparent website that allows government spending to be reaearched on a per employee basis.
7. Days worked - 150- all 24hour shifts...away from home. But only 5 minutes away.
I am about topped out (our fire captains make next to nothing in ovetime)
Should I leave it all to pursue the airlines? Age 34, 300 hours short of ATP minimums.
