And this is why there was an Atlas 76 captain in my new hire class.

Dude are you a 3 star or something?

Because even if that was all on drills with no AT at two drills a day, that's $12,500 a month base pay plus flight pay.

Even at the highest flight pay step I'm nowhere near that.

Not mad just curious if there is some grand scam in reserve pay I've missed.

Nothing special, just sitting alert. 2 active duty days with type 1 BAH, travel, mileage, and per diem for 1 day of work.

How do you get normal BAH with orders under 30 days? Some ANG carve out federals don't have?

They closed the only two reserve units my platforms had so no alert for us.

You should do that all year....you'd make $300K to sit alert.....

Am I missing something? $50,000/60 days = $833/day or ~$416/pay card which is 12,500/month (which would be an O-6 with $1k/month flight pay). When you figure in money from Alert orders/TDY, that's not terribly far off from what I make per day at the Guard as an O-5. Maybe a few bucks/days of liberty here and there.

You don't get normal BAH on orders less than 30 days, you get BAH Type II, which for me is only ~200 less than normal BAH. Alert orders will also get you mileage to/from. I did guest help alert and even got per diem.
