Actually no taxpayer subsidizes the EV market. It is an EV tax credit and people just get to keep more of their own money which is no different than a tax deduction on a home mortgage. Also Tesla and Chevy buyers don't even qualify for those tax deductions any more. Plus when the oil companies are given HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS in tax breaks and deductions every year there isn't much room to complain so I am all for getting rid of any deductions for both EVs and Oil companies. Then we can see what the true price of gas is.
Actually yes, a tax credit is still tax revenue not collected that has to be subsidized by other taxes. But I agree, we should get rid of all of these subsidies, electric, wind, oil, NG, farms, mortgages, student loans, etc.

I can understand your concern about the deficit, but no one in Washington seems concerned about that.

Envy is no way to run a democratic republic. Thou shall not covet is not just a good idea, it’s a commandment..

it dramatically lowers taxes on high earners, and there’s not much way to cut trillions out of our national budget, despite empty chants of “just cut spending.”
