Jump Seat as a Political Tool
#132
Hey Ace, I'd rather not hear your non-union justifications. If you are flying a big airplane like in your avatar it's time to grow up and either be knee deep in getting a union or to quit giving be bull-cr@p stories about why your aren't.
Right now the industry needs EVERYONE in a union more than ever.
Did you ever think the ONLY reason you have jumpseats at your company is because WITHOUT IT the company realizes you might unionize?

What ever you're smoking, you'd better get off. At least go decaf.
I AM very active in my Union, a Union independent of ALPA, the IPA. I personally worked as a union rep in our grievance process and wrote several articles of our most recent contract.
Go ahead and look back at your post to me. It's rather on the attack mode, and for no great reason.
I just made my post to emphasize that you, the PIC can get political with the jumpseat, and so can your company! Thats it. So back off and enjoy your day. I know I will.
