OK, Fins. Let's do it:

pay_jetblue2007.jpg

Your EMB pay is a full $39 an hour LESS than Skywest pays flying a smaller jet! Since you have NO EMB Captains with over 5 years seniority, you are undercutting the regionals.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

No reports are required.

However, you never stated, and come on be honest, that you submit an explanation to your chief pilot the reason for denial of jump seat is because the individual may be with Jet Blue, a non union carrier, and you don't recognize such pilots.
Once again, no reports are required.

Man I would love to be a fly on the wall, if you did have the balls acted in an insane manner, while your chief pilot and perhaps your DO gave you a dressing down.
For the third time, no action or counseling has EVER been taken/given due to a jumpseat denial. In fact, my management would just as soon round file the entire CASS program.

Hopefully, you're quite satisfied in your fantasy world where Chief Pilots chew out Captains who exercise their legal authority. That maybe the case at the outfit where you work, but real airlines don't operate that way.

That's where you are wrong... you can't deny a pilot with which your airline has an agreement with because of your own personal convictions about non union airlines. Thay my friend is going into business for yourself!

Once again, PROVING you don't have a clue about what goes on at other airlines. Believe me, no one in management gives a hoot about jumpseaters and their problems.

Captjns,

He is not kidding. Our management has a lot bigger problems than worrying about a JS. Hell, one of our own pilots denied the CEO a ride and he wasn't even Jumpseating. He a couple months off, but he was never fired.

Oh I don't doubt that. What I do doubt is the size of Green Face's balls, or lack thereof to tell a pilot of a non union carrier, such as a Jet Blue pilot "No, you can't ride my jump seat because you fly for a non-union airline." That I will bet Green Face does not have the balls to do.

I would be very interested to see on this thread if any Jet Blue pilots have been denied a jump seat because they fly for a non union operation.

We haven't had the E190's five years yet idgit. And picking and choosing whichever yearly rates can be twisted to support you ridiculous arguement is pathetic. You should run for office. I didn't inhale. or I only threw the ribbons over but kept the medals. That's about your speed.

Exactly. So, I guess you should really apply the 3 year rates for an accurate comparison. That would mean you are undercutting Regional Captains by even more than that.

Shame on you.
