Also Delta has way more categories and bases allowing a lot more to say senior in their seat. We only have 2 fleets for junior guys to upgrade into as opposed to Delta's 5.

By the way, keeping your head in the sand won't protect you, but it does keep you out of the way of those that defend our way of life and those that seek a better way of life. So, thank you.

And you missed on the quote... Go back and try it again.
Keeping my head in the sand? I've been to war for my country... Have you? Nice try.

Yes, head, in the sand. A more relevant conversation would be my handicapped brother being in the next room as plaster is flying off the wall on 12/2/15, fleeing for his life slowly, or the fact a good friend of his was one of the 14 and who killed him. And not to diminish the tragedy, but you keep telling yourself Charelston was the same thing.

Oh, and if you need another medal, I can send you some of mine.

Is there anything else you would like to discuss?

I've heard senior Delta guys would just rather be senior wide body FO rather than narrow body captain...however United has so many more wide bodies you would think that captain would go just as junior there.

If you say the reason is the 717/88...I understand that is part of it; however just recently NYC 320A went very junior for Delta as well (about 2 years if I'm correct). So why would United EWR 320 be so much more senior?
IMO, it's because Delta is the only legacy carrier that has rapidly reduced 50 seat RJ flying while rapidly increasing mainline flying. Delta not only created a Small Narrowbody fleet but also implemented a large fleet of them in the 717(91). The 717 rountinly flies to destinations only served with RJs on AA and UAL. The reduction of RJ flying and mainline growth will continue with the introduction of the C-Series next year.

Once UAL gets the 65 737-700s coming I believe you will see similar results to what's happening at Delta.

Ok, you've got a bigger watch, whatever. Doesn't change the fact that, excluding 9/11, the primary source of terrorism deaths in this country has never seen a Q'ran or however you spell it.

Perhaps you're the one who needs to get your head out and look around. Or, keep it buried... I understand you can still hear Fox news while in there.

That's simply not true.

88 for non Muslim terrorists, 90 for Muslim. You're right on that front, I stand corrected. However,

"The database shows 115 cases by right-wing extremists ― from white supremacists to militias to “sovereign citizens” ― compared to 63 cases by Islamist extremists."

"Attacks by right-wing extremists were also more often deadly, with nearly a third of right-wing extremist incidents resulting in deaths compared with 13 percent of Islamist extremist cases resulting in deaths."

I am just getting to this, sorry if it's been belabored. DAL NB jobs are significantly more work than 757 and up positions. I cannot comment on 737/320 positions, but on the 88/717 the best trip is only marginally better than the worst in the bid package -- and they're all pretty much junk. Lots of legs, lots of sits, lots of reroutes when you touch a hub, short layovers in good locations, long layovers in poor locations. Once you get on as junior NB captain you're going to stay junior working weekends, crappy vacation, 1st used for reserve, can't swap your trips/reserve days etc, etc. Finally, let's not forget NYC gets the joy of covering all 3 airports. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining as I've got a choice like everybody else, but those are reasons why captain has gone junior @ DAL.

Oh man...why didn't you just say so. Of course the huffpost is credible, no agenda, no bias. Thanks for the laugh.

Cheers

Yup. Typical. "Here are facts." Instead of listening and countering, you just resort back to previous prejudices because they feel more right. It's cool. You're allowed to be ignorant. It's your right. Thanks for at least being consistent and stereotypical.
