Then why are thousands of people waiting in line (legally and illegally) to come here? Btw 99% of the "news" from Fox News is negative and how America sucks. We can do better but having been around the world hardly any country offers the freedoms and liberties we do. Yes Switzerland is amazing, so is New Zealand but those are basket cases with minute monolithic populations with minimal issues inherent in a large/diverse population such as the US.

AOr even some of the better third world countries. I know some old Vietnamese guys that say they had almost unlimited freedom back home. They were surprised to learn that in the US, everything is illegal and it cost a lot more to get out of trouble. The PTB repealed habeas corpus and recently liberated civil forfeiture. A decent economy along with our above average socioeconomic status paint over a lot of nasty realities here at home.

C'mon. That's all fake. Didn't you ever see Capricorn 1. Maybe OJ can talk about it once he gets out.

Got nothing against Europe. Enjoying very much watching some of the biggest hearts on the planet close in on Paris this weekend. Praying only nothing awful happens. This country still swings the biggest aviation bat by nearly any measure. So not yet shaking in my boots simply by virtue of what Norwegian is presently attempting. But…things change. If they, the Chinese, or anyone else for that matter passes us by, they've certainly cleared a high bar, congratulations.

Because the U.S. is better than their third world country they currently reside in. This fact doesn't refute my statement that the U.S. is not ranked highest on any quality of life studies. We once were a great nation. We could be again. But it would take a dramatic turn around of many of our citizens. Considering we just elected and still support an ill mannered bully and a fool who has no idea what being a leader or a great person is about and who cares nothing for bettering himself in any meaningful way, I'm sadly confident that America's decline is irreversible. After all, our leaders are a reflection of us.
