Any commuters know the difficulty factor to jumpseat between any lower 48 gateways (SEA/ORD/SFO..etc.) and ANC ?

Thank you

It's hit or miss. I've caught the first flight that I've tried for and I've been at SEA for 10 hours getting bumped, one flight after the other. There is a two week period (Easter Break) where it is impossible to get either too of from ANC as the breaks are staggered. Once it took me 3 days (4th of July weekend) to get out of ANC as all of our company jumpseats were already booked. I gave up after 8 hours in the terminal and called our corporate travel dept. They told me the "first available" flight with an open seat was in 3 days, and that was to PDX. I said; "yes, please". Hope this helps you.

We are more than happy to take jumpseaters. My advice would be to introduce yourself to one of the pilots when they check-in. Our agents have a tendency to get frazzled and forget about jumpseaters and non-revs. A lot of times we have no idea that we just left people at the gate.

As a side note. We are so short on CSAs that the company is offering $2000 employee referrals for any CSA who stays at least 6 mos. If anybody knows anyone who they would like to throw under-the-bus I split the $ with you.
