It works in 3rd world countries where everyone has been living with extended families since the beginning of mankind. Modern Europeans don't like that arrangement and subsequently have unsustainable birth rates. Pull the government plug and you will see a quarter of the population dying in gutters. Which is exactly what a lot of Americans want.

[QUOTE=badflaps;2369942]The home is not so bad, except some of the old sneaky babes will try to steal your dessert. Nice to have one eating utensil.. Big soup spoon.[/QUOTE
I never saw someone trying to steal my mother's nor other's desserts. Neither my mom nor anyone I saw ate with a big soup spoon. Always had a knife, fork, and regular spoon.
Even those that needed assistance in eating (and my mom did the last few months of her four and a half years in the nursing home) were not fed with a big soup spoon. Maybe there are some places that do that today, certainly in the years past there were.
A month before my mom passed away I got there in time for dinner. I kissed her and told her I loved her. She looked at me and said, "You're late. I was expecting you at 5. It is now 5:30. Was the plane late? What about your bags? Did you check them? Did the airline lose them again? Did you have problems getting your rental car? Answer me. I am your mother and I have a right to know." That is the way she always was. Feisty to the end. QOL.

TransWorld, you and I have a vastly different definition of Quality and what the minimum acceptable Quality is for each of us. I see a parallel to Emiliano Zapata's quote here.
We'll have to agree to disagree on this issue.

Hahahahahaha wow man you are some kind of brainwashed. You actually think that without government people would just suddenly start dying left and right? Man they did a number on you. That's exactly the kind of thinking the government wants. Meanwhile, a lot of the pain and suffering in the world today is a direct result of government and their poor decisions and corruption.

Bottom line is:
Get the damn degree.
4th grade grammar has little to do with neuroscience, but I doubt you will ever meet a neurosurgeon who didn't pass it.
It's a requirement. Just like putting your shoes on the correct feet is a requirement.
If you want a good career, don't make excuses-make the effort. It's not hard at all to get a damn degree. Get one, get a seniority number and move on with life.
Shut up with the whining and moaning about how pointless it is. No one cares what you think about the pointlessness of higher education with they have thousands of equally (or by definition,) more highly qualified people jumping all over the chance for an interview.
Quit moaning, get off your ass and get the degree, or let the job go to someone who gives enough of a **** to make the effort!

I have a few friends in my brief stint in Part 135 world that are hung up on this exact same thing. In the time I've witnessed them whine and moan about a not having Bachelor's degree, they could have achieved a Masters. Yet, they still complain about why Major airlines aren't knocking down their door meanwhile throwing money at cars and boats. Grow up folks, or get passed up, the choice is yours.

Its not the effort thats holding people back its the money. There are too many people making student loan payments of a grand or more a month and will continue to do so for years, even decades. No one has any solution on how to address this beyond 'shut up stop whining and do it'
