FWIW I do not agree with messing around on guard. Too much energy

I agree. I guess a lot of people think its not actually used for emergencies these days, but a few years ago I heard a GA pilot with an engine failure get very calmly talked down by an American pilot on Guard. We need to keep that frequency clear. You can always pop over to 123.45 if you want to make some noise

Oh man you would love flying over Pakistan. Pakistani pilots use guard to talk in broken English/Urdu to talk about their exploits in Thailand and Dubai...

It's a simple fix, the immature ones love to egg on the guard nazis. If "guard nazi" replies stopped, I think the immature games would stop.
Saying "this is why you guys get paid so little at your regional" isn't going to stop the chatter and responses. Neither will "hey guys, let's keep this frequency free." Do you think someone who was making cat noises a second ago will now say "yeah, he is right". No, he will make cat and dog noises"
I just turn it off or way way down when flying on the east coast. Don't think this is getting "fixed" anytime soon.

It's more so an east coast thing. Rare to hear this on the west coast but go east, especially ATL corridor, it's rampant.

While we're ranting, the frat boy-esque "See ya!" sign off has always bothered me as conspicuously unprofessional and, well, dumb.
