Produce a "Jump to Conclusions Mat". You know...it's a mat with different conclusions on it that you can jump to...could be huge

Good luck getting into medical without experience, yes it is booming but jobs are extremely competitive. Look for companies with general management training programs to get some experience. Companies like Cintas, Enterprise Car Rental, Sherwin Williams. I will say that these jobs absolutely suck the first 2 years and the pay is not that great but it will give you what you lack.....experience. I jumped years ago and worked for one of the above mentioned companies that everntually led to Real Estate and facilities experience. I am now working for a large communications company in this field and make pretty darn good money. (401k match, cheap medical, pension, paid holidays and a month of vacation) The message here is that you are going to have to go bust your a## at something before and opportunity presents itself. Do not leave a job until you have a new one lined up, you will be screwed. The job market outside of aviation is tight, the grass may be greener for some but attaining it will be difficult.

Feel free to PM if you want. I would happy to discuss the steps I took further. Good luck.

I know there are plenty of pilots who have successfully made the leap, and I'm just looking for general ideas on career paths that wouldn't necessarily require any further education (at least for the moment).
Set-up your own business, then you have much more control over your life. I still work as a pilot, but I also have my own business. It's great being the boss.

Since you already have an aviation degree, then how about becoming a freelance aviation consultant? There are lots of different niches in that field.
