Also, I heard there's no seniority list at WGA.. So I guess that could really go good or bad for someone... Why wouldn't they have a seniority list?? Did Southern start off with no seniority list too??

I don't know if I'd describe Atlas as a scumbag outfit. Its not Delta, but it would be a very viable option as a career destination.

A number of guys at 9S have gone on to WGA. Nobody has left WGA for 9S. Atlas has hired from both K4 and 9S. So as far as ACMI its pretty clear Atlas is on top, and 9S is on the bottom, but I'm not sure how I'd rank K4 vs WGA. Established scumbag vs startup scumbag: pick your poison.
Actually I'd disagree here. A lot of the Asian carriers will let you come aboard if you have a two engine Boeing background. For some reason they don't like going from 4 engine to 2 engine so if they are hiring for 737, 757, 767 or 777 you are good. Also there are a lot more companies looking for 777 folks than 747.

Also a certain company with purple tails has a trend of hiring folks with time in type and since they don't fly 747s...

I don't think he meant Atlas is a scumbag outfit. They are kinda unique...they are ACMI which is its own world so not FedEx or UPS but leaps and bounds above any other in the category.

A lot has changed in the school house. Yes there was a high washout rate a while back. That is not to say some still don't washout but that is mainly because 1. Think they knew it all. 2. Didn't know enough and didn't study 3. Combination of 1 & 2 with added "That's not how we did it at brand X".

They don't want you to fail but they are not going to spoon feed you and hold your hand through the process. It is AQP based. But for what it's worth the training is some of the best and you will have to learn more than you will probably ever use.

I've heard they stay in pretty nice ones. (Hilton or Marriott properties). I know they keep their hotel and airline points. All the above mentioned ACMI's do though.

So no one is out to see if they can get you to fail? I guess thats good. What about the interview sim? I heard that its in a -200 with no F/D. Thats not a big deal but what about for someone who's never flown the plane before? Why doesn't Atlas make applicants do this? Do they at least give you time to see how the sim handles before they throw the coals at you?

Also, does Southern throw you in a sim? What about WGA and their interview?
