I don't know much about supplemental ops rules. When you guys fly the 400 - at what point do you need a double crew? Or is it never?
What is a normal month in terms of credit hours? is 62 guarantee pretty much unbreakable or quite the contrary?
Do 17 ON back to back resulting in 34 days on happen often?
I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer all my questions! Thank you and merry xmas!

5000 hours,,,,2500 Jet..... internal rec would be nice, but certainly NOT required. Just hired for a class in January of 20 FOs. Have seen nothing beyond that. With the rest requirement not including Cargo companies that could be the end for awhile.

That being true, if you request it, scheduling will do whatever they can to put some days off in between. It is unofficially called a "5day slide" where they take the first 5 or so days of the 2nd month and put them on the back side of your 17th day. Scheduling will do what they can for you and they won't be shy about asking you to do things for them. There is no J/A with this company and you can refuse flying outside your 17 day footprint without repercussion.

I'm new here on the -400. So far, for me, it's been 90-95 hours credit for the last couple months. I anticipate that being less starting in January but maybe not...
Scheduled to be aloft up to 8 hours=standard crew; 8-12 hours= heavy/augmented crew; 12-16 = double crew; greater than 16 triple crew.
I've done one 2 man crew flt since being here and the double crewed trips are thrown in here and there depending on the mission.

upgrade to CA on -400 is about 4 yrs, yes, -200, less than a year, about 9 months I think, of the guys that are in the sim right now.
yes there is a class of 10/10 jan 9th, 10-200/10-400, i think it is actually 9 in the 200, we have one guy returning from med lv.
we are short per the actual math. do we really need more, well, up for discussion. but we should continue to hire, so I heard while I was YIP last week.
we have many -200 FO's waiting for their chance to bid the -400. so if anything the -200 should be hiring regardless.
there seems to be no logical reason for the selection, there have been glass pilots going to the -200, steam guys going to the -400, failures because of it, so they say. excuses....but...
either way your in, if you really want to fly the -200, good for you, have fun, you'll learn to fly again if you have been flying full automation/glass/autothrottles, -200 has limited A/P and A/T.
oh, and I used to do alot of double crews on the classic.
good luck to all!!

Why are the upgrades to the 200 quick right now? Is it gonna continue for a while?
I am an RJ Driver and yes would love to go 're-learn' how to fly again. I'm afraid of a massive slow down tho if I did jump ship and come over. We've all been there before
