Even if by some miracle the hiring well dries up sooner and K4 can't attract more new hires than ABX, ATI, Atlas, and the rest.... management will just come fix it with a bunch of LOA's or MOU's once it's a problem and negotiate an improvement to your CBA to get enough in the door.

You grabbed decent gains for a short term CBA that reopens in 3 years. I think you guys are in a really good position. After being bought by ATSG and now being in their soon to be whipsaw is going to suck. You g
uys still hiring ?

There is alot more to the other ACMI contracts besides having the highest pay by a few dollars.
Disability, DC match and Cap, scheduling rules etc.

New “Efficiency optimized” schedules ranging from 11-16 days offering high credit hours at K4 are fairly new to the ACMI space......and definitely worth consideration. I’m working 13 days this month with a credit guarantee of 82 hrs. With 3 days of reserve included in this composite line with paid commuting and a couple dead heads I’ll be at around a hundred hours pay. Got a lot of ABX friends here at K4.

Sounds nice...does everyone, even those on reserve get an " efficiency optimized" schedule? Or just the lucky few senior pilots. The devil is certainly in the details.....sometimes it's not what you have as much as what you dont have.

yep, true, and averaged out the K4 contract is still superior. Go do the math.

K4 has 2 things ABX doesn't have:

1) A CEO who gives a crap about his company making a profit, and expanding business. Has (CK) a long demonstrated track record of achieving said goals.
2) Home Basing.

Abx has made it's bed wrt #2 for now. For being taken seriously about being on top of ACMI heap, point #1 needs to be rectified. Much like Tampa Bay Bucs going from perpetual 8-8 team to Super Bowl Champion with a change in QB.

As for other contract aspects: Yes, ABX has superior medical leave/ LTD provisions. In my 25 plus years with ABX, I spent 3% of my time on medical leave. People are (rightly or wrongly) going to focus on the other 97%.

Bid pack is full of it. I’m a lot closer to the bottom than the top.

Surprisingly, yes even low seniority had some good options.

This month there was no reserve for 747 FOs.

I got less than the typical 16 days on and a 70+ hour guarantee. I'm sure it will jump to 90+ with the lack of crews and scheduling shenanigans, but the idea of less than 16 day trips and easily 70+ hour lines is very appealing. All while maintaining home basing and a small pay bump.

It always seems the talk of high pay and less work days concerns the 747 flying. What about the 767 flying, do they reap the same kind of benefits? I know it is all one contract but the type of flying is very different.

They all make the 64 hour guarantee with few exceptions. The only benefit to the 767 is a possible 12 day rotation instead of 16 and possibly taking advantage of CVG hub flying. I'm not sure they are doing that 12 day deal still though.

The 767 April consisted of 3 non-split lines with just under 64 hours credit and 13 days out. Downside is a lot of hub turns and 4+ hour sit's there and min rest between flights. 4 16 day RSV lines, rest of the lines were split lines. Yes they were 13/14 day lines but now extra day zero travel days.
