Did they make any improvements to disability? My regional has far better benefits at the moment.

Possibly true. Does your regional have true home basing? No Junior Assignment? A pay scale that tops out at or near Kalitta's? Do you keep your hotel points and airline miles?

I'm sure your contract has a few things the Kalitta pilots would like to have in ours.

Every Airline contract has pluses and minuses from the contracts of other airlines. There are things UPS has that FedEx would like and vice versa. Each contract must be taken as a whole. If Kalitta's contract does not suit your needs do not apply. If on the other hand the whole of the K4 contract appeals to you, send in an application and see what happens.

Default Kalitta Pilots CBA update

Consider the posters family, or personal situation. Never mind carry on

Like many others he or she wants to be at Kalitta, no doubt. I doubt poster was talking down at the carrier.

Better or worse or whatever your driving decision factor is to apply or not to a Major, LCC, Corporate or ACMI - the AMCI game is not anything like a regional or any of the others. Some dislike it, others like myself enjoy it. Know what your getting into it’s not for everyone.

Thank you.

K4 ALPA apparently thought that LTD was such a priority in their CBA negotiations that they made an entire video on the subject.

While the majority of the discussion on the boards have been about the pay rates and retirement contributions, I was curious if the new CBA had many any improvements in that area.

I've known about Kalitta and the ACMI lifestyle for a while, and I'm pretty certain it'll work very well for my particular personal situation, I'm also doing my best to do my due diligence. There are a lot of advantages to it, not the least of which is not being tied to the beached whale that is AA at the moment, but that's a whole other story.

I think the other question a lot of people have (or should) is while we know the old man is gonna live forever, what happens when Connie steps away from the business?

There is a succession plan. They aren’t expanding the fleet, building new sim bays, and hiring more people just to shutter the doors in a couple years. It’s a bigger company than you’d think....
