Vote however you like, but we haven’t even seen the thing yet.
Also, efficient lines isn’t going to bring the average month below guarantee. An optimizer can get rid of 20 hours of criss-crossing deadheads, but we don’t have that. When everyone is flying 80-100 block on the 74 every month, you can’t just shuffle that around and reduce it below guarantee. Now, hiring 40 new pilots, that will reduce average lines.

You are correct, I should wait until there is definitive information before making a decision, I promise I will do so. But if this offer is so good why are we not hearing about all the other quality of life improvements? My guess is because there aren’t any, but I’ll wait until we all have the opportunity to read it.
gold rush. Management is figuring on a global slow down shortly after the artificial inflated demand subsides. It’s cheaper to hire new people at a sub par rate than reward the ones who made Connie over a billion dollars this year. The company isn’t asking people to resend their mainline numbers. When the recalls come and hiring picks up in the airlines, they all will leave and company will naturally shed the excess pilots required. It’s a win win for management and a lose lose for the pilot group.

Agreed if there was anything regarding QOL I am sure the Union would have mentioned this. This is the play book from before, show pay and hope most don't read the rest of the contract and vote yes. READ EVERY LINE WHEN IT GET HANDED TO US.

Hopefully, the hiring is for growth. DO said that’s they were actively looking for 747’s and they want us to be “ahead of the curve” for hiring for possible new planes if they are to buy any. He didn’t mention it, but hopefully they’re trying to win some more of the 777’s from the recent DHL order.
It’s gotta be more cost effective to pay one guy 90 hrs vs two guys at 64 hrs.
Again, vote how you want, but the company has ZERO reason to offer us anything right now. The pilots have very little leverage. Hopefully, 4 years down the road when the contract is amendable, the hiring boom is happening and we can increase pay and/or DC.
I look at this as a positive for at least getting DC in the contract.
To each their own. Just vote!

It could also be said that the contract is for four years, and in two years thing will be better (very likely). Also, if things are so bad, be like Delta and take profit sharing deals now.
In addition, Frontier has 15% DC and Kalitta is in a MUCH better place than Frontier.

Well the good news is that along with that sub par pay increase our insurance premiums will be going up so any raise will be cancelled out due to inflation and insurance payments.

I’ll just come out with it. The company wanted to negotiate a year before our contract became amendable. Fine. A bare bones yes/no survey came out a month before negotiations began. Sections were TA’d at record speed and only slowed when it got to retirement/pay. This leads me to believe that absolutely no effort was put into schedules/work rules, etc. Maybe I’ll eat my words when the TA comes out.....but I doubt that I will. We’ve done no favors for our Atlas friends who will likely be arbitrated in two months.
But I guess that you can say.....at the very least...that we will have gotten a defined contribution into the contract.
