There are lots of peeps who are ANC based and start their rotation there...may not end there but they fly you home. So in fairbanks they would fly you in coach to ANC or to and from whereever they need you to start (CVG, LAX, MIA, JFK etc). No one is based out of ANC. You might live there or you might start/end a trip there but Kalitta only has one base. (YIP). The bid may contain one line out of a hundred, every other month, that has a trip beginning with a DH up to ANC from Conus but that is hardly regular. If you start a trip out of ANC you are either circumventing seniority and the schedule directly or indirectly thereby screwing everyone else off their schedule or you are on one of the few actual reserve lines.

So i am MIA home based, and I start trips out of MIA .. even if its not on my bidded line... do I ask for it - no... do I care..no...am I circumventing some sort of unknown CBA rule I dont think so. I know the same happens for our ANC based Pilots. Flew with one last month Day 1 parked his car at the hotel, and joined us for his day 1 trip. Our lines are start date and end date only. If you think you will fly to your named bidded line airports thats just never happens..maybe a couple of them or you may start on the first trip but then things happen and your bidded line trips fall about. I am supposed to start this month ORD to ANC (as oer my line), its already changed to CVG to EBBR ..heck it will probably change again before Monday , but thats the fun of it!

Any updates on the new contract as of when its supposed to come out ? also if hiring is supposed to start on the 777? last i heard was supposed to be september.

Our Negotiating committee and MEC unfortunately does not update us on progress regarding individual sections TA'd.(Just number of sections TA'd) We will get to see it when we get an agreement in principle. I wouldn't say that there is any way of saying when it will be done.

How long before JK just goes behinds everyones back again, including the NC, and just does another back door deal with the company? I smell a 51% TA again.
