Kalitta Air (K4) Information

Thanks, it’s funny you mentioned the 5 clowns. It was supposed to be off our books yet I was booked there a couple of months. Should have done the Hyatt thang, but my curiosity to see if anyone else was there still after a 2 year hiatus overrode common sense. Yup, still blah and several other crews from pax carriers there… unfortunate souls.

Kalitta is not ready for prime time
Kalitta is a place with a lot of good and a lot of bad. However there are two real issues preventing us from really attracting and keeping talent.
1. It's almost like the company hates its pilots. Pete has been known to say "I'm not giving them anything I don't have to." And is following through with that.
2. Our union is a joke. What do you do when the people whom you are paying to take care of you actually have the companies best interests at heart.
There is a deeper story here but if you plan on coming here just know they will screw you every chance they get and our union will help them.

The beauty is you are a free agent. Free to exercise your right to choose. If K4 isn’t for you or you feel misrepresented or maligned…simply leave. The door swings both ways, no one is shackled to the yoke. Sounds a lot like sour grapes….

Or you could go on the Facebook page and complain about the quality of the orange you got with your hotel meal in Sydney.

they had interviews going on yesterday… seems like they will need to ramp up hiring a lot more than whats going on right now because we can expect about 5 to leave a month on average going forward.

Only 5 per month? I expect it to be way more than that judging by the number of people I know with interviews and CJOs.
