Random question: how often can you change your 'home' airport for travel to / from work?

Once a day, once an hour, once a rotation. How often do you want to change it?

I'm single, I've got family in different places. Would be nice to switch it around pretty frequently.

So change it as often as you need.

if you’re going to be moving around often simply pick an expensive airport like key west or aspen. Then most tickets are going to be cheaper and they will have no problem sending you elsewhere. The caveat is you’ve got to be proactive every month 3-4 days before travel and let them know where you’re coming/going from/to.

Exactly. I’m my whole time at Kalitta I’ve flown out of my home base maybe once. I always get a flight, rental car or train from where ever in the world I happen to be at.

If you plan to live overseas do they accommodate that?

It seems to me that if someone is trying to game the system, you're being selfish. That will only hurt the pilot group.
The company is very accommodating to grant your wishes. But, there is no language that supports constantly changing your domicile because you don't want to cough up a few bucks. If you screw up this home baseing thing because you are too damn cheap to buy a ticket with all the money your making, there will be a lot people lining up to throw your butt into Victoria Harbor.
Pick a domicile, be nice, jumpseat, buy a ticket once in a while. Don't be a self centered prick. Think about the rest of us!
