I can't recommend JetBlue at this time

Well the bid is for December. Even if we had a TA by the end of the summer we wouldn't need the captains (for the cba)yet. I know I'm a juicer but I don't think I would be making a decision on that bid(yes I know all of the other stuff) but that bid has nothing to do with a cba. The company also has the ability to put out a supplemental bid if need be.
I would expect full classes if they anticipated a CBA by years end.
Btw- I dont think youre a juicer

It amazes me how short of memories we have as pilots. Every 10 years there are downturns, we are on the footsteps now. Sorry but they're gonna lowball us, we reject it, they drag it out, downturn happens, hence the reason they're worried about adding "meat", threaten or actually furlough and then use pilots on the street as leverage for their final CBA. It's been in the playbook for decades.
Yeah the place is going the tube quick but they're still making way more money by avoiding the problems rather than paying to fix the problems.

If I was to guess this cba will be phased in. I can see pay 401k and benifits right away "day 1"
But I assume scheduling and other parts will need time to be implemented. It's no joke we are looking at a total change in the way the company staffs and schedules its pilots.
But if you come out with industry standard pay or better I think you will still be able to find guys.
But again only a guess.
I didn't expect this bid to have anything to do with the CBA.
But I do agree we are super short pilots, now if guys wouldn't pick up RSAs but that is a different thread.

I usually do a hair under 2 hours just so I can get short term parking. Can't beat walking from the car to the terminal. I do love it when they just automatically expect you to show up in 40 minutes and don't even ask.

Best advice I've ever received is "know your work rules." Every new hire I meet (pilot or FA) I extend the same advice.
