Stupid videos like that are not unique to jetblue. Why they posted it on a public website is beyond me though.
Those people's jobs are probably awful during our many many irops. They have to clean up the mess our operation becomes. They wanna blow off some steam with something like this I've got no problem with it. But don't post it on a public website!
And those saying it's a waste of money, I bet this cost less than $100. You could shoot this with an iPhone on a stand.

Now see I like the 240am time on day one of 6
Or when the DRO does not match flica.
The funny thing is durning one union meeting they said the head of scheduling had been easy to work with trying to get the scheduling section done. I can't wait for back and white rules so we can stop with this DRO BS and all the other stuff they pull.

(What scares me and I agree): How can we expect a CBA with improved work rules if we can barely execute the operation with todays staffing based on the cumbya FSM of today?
Upgrades are stagnant and there's certainly more attrition than they're claiming.
I met a jblue guy this week who's last day was Thursday. Heading to FedEx. Theres another jblue guy in his class too.

Its not even awaiting a CBA, the question Ive had for a while now is staffing for a new CBA.
Theyve been living on RSAs and reserves for so long, I doubt they lack the ability to adjust.
Whats the estimate on staffing requirements for the supposed work/reserve rules improvements? 8%? 10%?
We cant even drop midweek stuff this month. Mickey effin Mouse.

A few years back vacation alone was about 10-15% under staffed if I remember right.
If we keep the same block hours and route schedule we'd be 4-6 hundred guys lite for full implementation of a CBA. Just a WAG on my part. I don't have any idea what the final
CBA will have.

I can't wait to see how they are going to do this.
I don't think we would take anything less than industry standard so they are going to need way more guys or they are just going to throw a bunch of money at us vs having standard vacation which would require more pilots.

Or they drag it out until we get bought/buy someone and have to restart JCBA negotiations, or, get drug through mediation and then they require a long implementation period for things like vacation. This current system bid is evidence they aren't planning on needing to do anything about it anytime soon. I had stopped updating my apps to go to a real airline, was getting more positive about this place after talking to a couple NC guys, was going to move to FL, but now, I'm going to try to bail. I wish in retrospect I had stayed at my bottom feeder regional and just got some 121 TPIC, as I could have upgraded right when I got hired here. Took an unnecessary pay cut to come here thinking it was a good career move. Oh well. I guess if I don't get a call from a legacy this isn't the worst place to be. But it sure seems to be moving that direction.
No way they can staff this place with a decent CBA. This should scare everyone. Its not so much curtains for the company, but you can say goodbye to growth.

Well the bid is for December. Even if we had a TA by the end of the summer we wouldn't need the captains (for the cba)yet. I know I'm a juicer but I don't think I would be making a decision on that bid(yes I know all of the other stuff) but that bid has nothing to do with a cba. The company also has the ability to put out a supplemental bid if need be.
