Guaranteed flow? In writing? In that timeframe, regardless of economic circumstances, growth, or world wide pandemic? I'm being facetious. I don't believe anything until it's on my W-2, or added to my ATP certificate. For me it would depend on current income. I don't want to struggle at regional wages in hopes of a flow, only to have it evaporate. Bird in the hand.

Well I did and was right in what I said. I was talking about picking up open time, in which you do not make above guarantee. Thanks for being an ******* about it. Shows the kind of people we have working here.

No, I agree with him! It amazes me how many people don't know the FSM, especially guys on reserve... it's like 20 pages!

Some do, some don't. I guess it's easier to be a jerk about it rather than help out your fellow coworkers clarify certain areas. Sad.

You asked the question. I pointed you to the right section of the FSM. You eventually read it and STILL came up with " I was talking about picking up open time, in which you do not make above guarantee"

I could have brought the spoon to the table, but Flyby answered your question and answered you correctly. It IS possible to pick up opentime on your days off, not likely, but possible.

To be nice: G.20.2, pg 141/ 198 on your Ipad, about 1/2 way down, in black and white (o.k., that wasn't nice)

p.s. FSM was written back before airplanes started flying and the bit " All credit above 78 hours..." does not apply.

Sure they can change other requirements/ work rules overnight with an update on your Ipad, but still have the junk from years ago that doesn't apply.

I wasn't trying to be a douche, but if C.S calls you with a trip that goes against the FSM with regards to: call order, length of trip, red-eye length, duty time, etc you need to call them out on it. The handful of times they have gone against the FSM and I corrected them, C.S. reversed the assignment 100% of the time.

I'll acquiesce to your knowledge of SWA, but to say "Nobody in DAL is sitting at home on reserve unfortunately." is completely false!
I have dozens of friends at DAL that get paid to sit long call. They even have to (gasp) put in for a trip, called yellow slipping, every month or two just to avoid a trip to the sim in ATL for currency.
JetBlue pilots...Your job may suck. It may not. ALPA may be your savior, it may not. Anyone see how the latest DAL agreement shook out? Or how the first Company offer was trashed by the pilots in a 2-1 fashion?
