Pay is definitely far below peers and heavily tilted towards people who live in NYC. They are really the only ones who can sit reserve at home, never fly, do RSA, VDA, day turns only, and whatever other scam they have.
agree with everything right up to almost the end. Seniority has its perks. I did quite well in MCO on my rsv for years. Guys do the same in fll as well.those FOs who are making upwards of 250/yr are very senior and using the system to their advantage. I think i would have stayed but the glass ceiling in MCO is a tough nut to crack if you need to bank some real cash. Esspecially on the 320. There's ways around it, but it's exponentially more difficult the less senior you are.

I did 780 hours in 2016, line holder, commuter, no RSA/VDA. Hit 3rd year pay in Nov of that year. ALL IN GROSS with profit sharing, per diem, night override, e learning, medical reimbursement, etc. etc. etc. was 115K.

What was your Salary because none of those things you listed is Salary?

Multiply hourly rate * 70 * 12 and there's a JB "salary." You might end up double checking your work, but yes it's actually that low.

Just looked it up. 91K straight salary, everything else is some variant (emergency assigned 2X), red eye addition, etc. I didn't sell PTO. Also didn't go to the higher pay rate until Nov so there's a raise in hourly pay then.

Sitting reserve at home, not flying and/or doing day turns only is a "scam"?

I live in NY (born and raised here). I bid reserve by choice, so I can (theoretically but never a guarantee) fly less and be home with my family more. The times when I do bid a line, I can hold nearly all day turns.
Should I start bidding a line with 5-day trips so I'm not seen as "scamming" my fellow pilots?

I don't see it as a scam. It's optimizing the situation. Living in DFW, if I worked for LUV you can bet I'd be bidding reserve for the same reasons. Probably a bit less traffic in DFW than JFK though

No. bid but you want. But I know you have 10 or 11 days off on RSV so......picking up anything on your day off is screwing someone. You're setting a precedent that doesn't help the CBA cause.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you pick up on an off day as a reservist (non VDA or RSA), it doesn't go above guarantee. So, honestly, it would be foolish to do so.

That is correct, it goes towards your guarantee. You're working for free unless you flew 75 hrs already. Waste o' time
