Alpa doesn't want people doing standups? Never knew that. Don't do them anyway, usually busy doing more important things.

With all this talk about unity, I wonder how many of the vocal voices on here will actually show up to a picket line if our union decides that is the course to go. How many will sacrifice a day off or two to stand in unity? How many will make excuses as to why they couldn't show up? I wonder how many volunteer for the pilot group. P2P is a committee everybody can get into yet we only less than 10% of our pilots who do it. It seems like everyone wants to talk about unity when it relates to stuff they don't do (cleaning, stand-up PAs). I'd like to see unity in more things that you do.

How many of you have flown with something that should be written up but didn't write it up because it was the last day of your pairing and you had a commute to catch (like the O2 test on the 190)? How many of you drop you brake prior to push clearance not to get an on-time, but just to start the pay clock? But you're right, making a stand up PA and cleaning is hurting our negotiating position.

This doesn't mean that I support either of those, but the fact that you guys on here think that's the thing that's hurting our negotiating position is disturbing. Kind of like missing the forest for the trees.

What about the lack of showing up at union meetings. We could use many more at the meetings.

Commuters aren't going to commute in for a union meeting. They need to get the message out another way.

They could bid around it, come in a little bit early. Reserves are already in the city. Plenty of excuses I hear from so many pilots This is our livelihood.

Spot on. I've been to 2 LEC meetings and wish I could get to more. It's astonishing the amount of people that have never been and have no intention of going.

Don't know why ALPA doesn't use more video conferencing. It's practically free and it's not like the company doesn't have plants in the meeting already. Record it and post it on the website.

Many options if we stop acting like it's the 1980's.

I'd go if they actually had them...I don't think MCO had one since the last one in September or beginning of October I think it was...
