Read the FOM. Working pilots DO NOT have to clean. It is only JB employees using non rev benefits that are expected to help the FA's clean.

And clean is a very loose term. By the time I wait for passengers to deplane the other people are done cleaning haha

EXACTLY! There's one cptn at SWA in my base who dons the white gloves and dives head first into cleaning the cabin while pax are deplaning. Seeing him say "goodbye" and "thanks" to the pax as they deplane all while holding trash with his rubber donned hands makes me sick and is a complete embarrassment to our profession.

Not surprisingly this same bozo constantly gets "pilot of the month" (or whatever the hell the company calls the award). DOUCHEBAG!

I flew on SW a few months ago and a nonrev SW pilots was going up and down the aisle passing out snacks with the flight attendants. I couldn't believe my eyes. I hope I didn't just give JB pilots any ideas. Lol

Don't be fooled. He was palming every fourth or fifth snack, and got off the plane with a load of them.

I actually made a call to Pro Standards one time (after I asked the moron how he thought his actions made us look as professional pilots) because I was DHing on a flight while a commuting/DHing FO was walking down the aisle passing out snacks IN UNIFORM. I was so infuriated that I couldn't see straight.

What did the guy say when you asked him what he was doing?

I had a chat with him on the jetway and he vehemently disagreed with me about what his actions were doing to the image of our profession in the public eye. A "yes man" with no prior airline experience. It's no wonder why my airline prefers military pilots. (And don't jump all over me for that observation either).
