Default Who else hates the dome light in the A320?

Not sure what the deal is but, every captain I fly with turns that thing on first thing out of FL180 at night. Gives me a headache.

The A-320 series probably has the worst lighting setup I have ever seen.
Can't get just a little light where you need it.

Does it happen mostly on red eyes?

Trade you the E190 dome light! It's either full bright, or off.

I liked the Airbus dome light, kept me awake on redeyes.

They're just making it easier for you to find your tuna pouch for the wrap you're about to make.

How's the sunrise for ya when the last 4 hours have been completely dark?

All personal preference, I guess

Add me to the list of people who like it on at night. Especially on red eyes. Off 30 minutes out.

Just had to chime in gentlemen and ladies....the 737 dome "light" is all of 5 candlepower, maybe? It is of little illumination at night and can be outright forgotten in the on position at day as it can't be seen ever! The Airbus dome light must not be too bad of a light, FWIW.
