I agree. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Same experience for me. When I really want to pick up open-time, I can beat out the usual suspects. When I get lazy and wait for the alert on my phone, I lose. It gets tiresome hearing about bots without any evidence to prove it.
Anyway, I realize I’ve digressed. The beginning of my original post was about trips actually dropping, which was good news. I couldn’t resist kicking the dead horse while I was here. Carry on

Thats exactly what I’m hating-the game. This contract deficiency just happens to be highlighted during these lean times. We strive for United/Southwest etc in every other regard; why not this? It’s a big QOL issue. No, you shouldn’t have to game the system and figure out every short cut possible in order to be able to pick up a trip. Flica alerts should have a chance to be relevant.

wrong. No one is using anything. I have no “BOT” but have beat people multiple times (the “bot” guys) to trips. Find the ways to do it, there is multiple ways to reduce your transaction time by a second or two (the time it takes you to click add/submit request).
Or you could simply be happy that you’re not one of the people who sits on their computer all day staring at Flica.
I think we have beaten the bot thing to a pulp. I don’t have a bot and have beaten the guys who always get trips, and I believe management has been open to the fact that there aren’t bots. I’m not smart and figured out ways to make my advantage better if I feel like it. If you got a Flica alert it’s gone already because someone’s watching it. If the pairing was an ADHOC the Flica alert is usually delayed 3-5 minute. But if someone just drops it, it’s usually an alert right away. But that being said, there is a person who already got it. If you’re willing to sit on Flica for hours on end like some people do. I bet you’ll get something.

no one “sits” staring at flics. You just wait for the audible alert to notify you. FLL and MCO LEC put out a com about this months ago. It’s free for all to use and apparently not against the user agreement. Dig up the com on b6alpa.org.
Check airmen and some “special” pilots also have access to crewtrac functions that we “normies don’t. They can see when trips are built.
