The original target was November and it appears it has been pushed as they just really don't know where things will land (possibly December for the supplemental bid). Can't blame them for not wanting to get it wrong, especially when you consider how many training events LGB/LAX caused. The pocket session sounded more uncertain this time around in regards to staffing projections. Some routes are working better than expected (EWR), Nassau is not, as the longer than 4 days stay testing requirement there is making people not want to get stuck on the island.
We are sitting well amongst our competitors but where we have a disadvantage to them is:
1) cargo revenue (yields & volumes have gone up for airlines able to transport)
2) less co-brand credit card revenue (fewer cards given the mostly leisure travel consumer/not business)
3) geography (mostly NE exposure - shock effect from early COVID days causing less travel to date / Quarantine Requirements)

Since we've gotten our own spot on APC, some people have hinted that we needed a separate discussion from the hiring thread, so here goes...
Does anyone know when the DOT will tell us (or any other airline) the amount of slots we've been awarded into Cuba?
Do these new Cuba slots mean that we will see accelerated growth with either fleet type?

They keep going back and forth about hiring next year. We still have 39 people not trained from the last 2 new hire classes, still on training pay. Hard to predict; my guess is that we won’t hire until late 2021 if even

I personally wouldn’t bet on any hiring in 2021. Plus, we still have dozens of guys that were new-hires and got their training cancelled. They are in limbo getting their training pay...

Best case scenario (with the projected return to 2019 levels by December of 2021), we might hire for positions opening in early 2022.

Maybe just recheck your documents and background. If they liked you enough to hire your the first time around, I don’t see how they would change their view on that.
