Lower ALV leads to more line holders. Any pickup would go above guarantee which leads to more line holders fighting for non existent open time. You can’t say “just be a senior 320 FO and credit 100 hours.” Unless you have an industry leading bot, everyone should plan on 70.

I can’t speak for others, but my award or lack of an award, was surprising to say the least. Specially after seeing pilots junior to me getting my 1st choice, both on vacancy bid and voluntary displacements. Guess I’ll wait until the results are posted on PVBM, so I can contest.

Don’t apply when it comes to displacements. Vacancies only. This bid is very high on the screwed up level.

if you weren’t displaced involuntarily or voluntarily and there was no vacancy you wouldn’t be awarded your choice. There were many senior voluntary displacements.

Yeah I agree. The issue they’re going to see is people who bid for positions on a voluntary displacement basis, were not awarded them, while junior people were. They screwed up somewhere and it trickles down pretty far I think. It’ll be interesting to see how they take it.

They way over complicated this. One bid sheet, bid for what you want. You get displaced you get what you want, that you can hold. Maybe it’s me. Back to the regularly scheduled program, I guess.
I gotta agree with this. It’s a convoluted bid system that seems way over complicated. It would be really nice if we ran a mock bid before this. Not sure why we can’t get that accomplished (I realize....it’s not in the contract). To answer Felts question: from what I saw on the bid sheet and my wife telling me that all the wives on FB aren’t happy...I’d say it’s a solid 6, possibly 7 on the F’d up side.

A mock bid would've been nice. I held my seat, but I see others that probably bid completely wrong and it bit them in the a$$. Oh, and the wives of FB aren't happy in ANY FB group they belong, or so it seems.
