AL I am sorry you pinned your hope and dreams on Dougie Fresh. I have a lot of friends over at AA don't want them to fail at all.You have mad issues. Please seek help and never forget to run the IMSAFE checklist.

Just posting fact and opinion on a message board. Doug will be long gone before I retire. I don’t want to see anymore mergers. I’ve seen enough. I think everyone is entitled to wanting to protect their side of the street. I apologize if I’m taking it out on you guys.

JB on the other hand is the 2nd best airline financially. If JB hitches it's wagon to AA at this point it would be criminal financial misconduct of the highest order.
Go through BK, get your own house in order, then threaten us with a merger if it makes you feel better.

Get help before you climb back into an aircraft and endanger the public and your fellow crewmembers.

Well no, step 1 for any merger with AA is Chapter 11. Your company is not a viable ongoing concern. No merger can fix that.

You nailed it Blue. No way Jetblue execs could voluntarily merge with American pre-bankruptcy. That would be a slam-dunk lawsuit by Jetblue shareholders. The only way it could happen is if Doug somehow put together enough money to buy Jetblue. I'd say that would be impossible but a bankrupt AWA bought USAIR who then bought AMR. Doug, like Neeleman thrives in adversity but neither were meant to be at the helm during normal times.
DAL, UA, WN would all object. Cant make a giant larger.
