Jetblue’s head of route planning said they are narrowing in on LHR a couple weeks ago, but I don’t think that has anything to do with the AA partnership. Nor did anyone here said it did.

No, they aren't. They know they've never been able to figure out NYC. Now you can feed their intl markets with more lift then eagle.

Fine and dandy but that's not how this reads to those of us on outside...

"This is absolute best case scenario with what's happening in the world. I think the union did a great job with this, and if it opens up more gates in LAX, NYC and possibly even slots for us in London and other European destinations in 2022+ than this is a huge win for us."

If and possibly. Those words indicate the poster is guessing.

My take is it’s not good for either of us.

I have no idea what you’re trying to get at. London was announced in April 2019. The LAX announcement with the closure of LGB was last week and more NYC flying with this announcement today. Not exactly wishful thinking, they’ve all be formally announced. Of course they could scrap the plan to say go to London, but it’s not like it’s a van driver rumor anymore.

So Jetblue pilots gave up scope and 5 hours per month for the reserves without even getting to vote on it? If that's not setting a bad precedent, I don't know what is.

Don't you think that statement is a little agenda loaded?
I am still trying to understand why us pilots bash each other like this or try to make each other look bad.

how did we give up scope? And 2 days off for those 5 hours is an easy win in my book.

The precedent was set a long time ago when the Legacies outsourced their flying to the regionals. They still have to grow JetBlue pilot block hours if they want to enter these new codeshare agreements and allows us all to keep our jobs until the end of April with no “act of god” provision in terms of furlough pay.
