My conspiracy theory is we’re purchasing Mr. Softee. They’ve had all sorts of trouble over the years, but frankly, their chocolate/vanilla Sundae is da bomb. Hundreds of Mr. Softee trucks, all over NYC, painted to look like a 190? Genius. Pure Gold. Branding.... The Santo Domingo Sundae...Santiago Swirl...Port-au-Prince popsicle...

Someone on BP raised the possibility that the LOA could also in life relief on codeshare language in the contract. As it is, JB isn't growing, so they can't amend/renew codeshare agreements.

Could be something as simple as that.

In addition to the other possibilities I've stated, I also see a deepening relationship, possibly a very minimal one, but deepening none-the-less, with AA.

As I said a few posts ago, Spirit and Frontier are much less expensive today than they were a few months ago, and there are significant portions of both airlines network that wouldn't fit well in the JB system that could be redeployed rapidly to fill out JFK and/or LAX and/or EWR. Both airlines would also rapidly grow JB's Florida franchise and add incremental relevance out West.

All just one dudes opinion, worth exactly what you paid for it, maybe less.
this is where I’m filing my two cents.

Flow-backs to Mr. Softee if we do have to furlough. Keeping people on property is good. We'll see what they say.....

AAL.

Look at the moves they’re making. Closing LAX. Giving up slots in JFK. Downsizing BOS even more.

Tea leaves are strong with this one.

Not saying it’s a merger. But there’s some kind of JB/AAL relationship building here:

There's five things in 23.A, thankfully nothing related to Section 1.
