Ok? I’m not arguing there won’t be involuntary furloughs come Oct 1. I don’t know if you’re quoting the wrong person.
I also think it’s being offered for only two months because that’s when LOA 8&9 expire. ALPA and the company are still working on some extended leave options past September 30th. If there’s not enough takers, then yes they’ll go involuntary.

This is what I was noticing too. Maybe a displacement bid for 190 guys come August or atleast a lot of Bus openings? But at the same time it would seem very aggressive or maybe too aggressive to pull most or all of the 190s off the line with not even a 220 on property yet as of today. I'd think atleast 2 or 3 220s to be on property up and running before 1 or 2 190s status switches from temporarily to permanently parked.

I like the logic, but the vil lines have been constant for the 190 while dwindling for the 320. 190s aint coming back soon and nowhere near 60. Figure a displacement of at least 30-40% of the 190 pilots come August. Or they may get enough (1000 or so) guys who take an exto award. Obviously a wag but I dont see the op supporting the 190s.
320 vils were surprisingly low though. Like 10 on average.
BOS 190 FO was 28 for July, now its 44 for the 1 months

Why JFK? With the big NY Metro emphasis now and five local airports to operate from I can't fathom the JFK base closing until a significant number of 220s are on property. People have been beating the 190-JFK-is-closing drum for years but the base only grew (~15% IIRC) during that time.
Ahhhh this is the stuff I come to APC and The Farm for, people opining on contract items of which they haven't even read the details.

I actually think MCO is the last one to close. The island flying is likely to be the last to go away on the 190.
190’s will disappear out of BOS and JFK first. On the last system bid the BOS base already shrunk. I realize things have changed since then but the one thing to actually be hurting the most is business travel. The 190’s in BOS are all targeted at business routes. The 220 is also slated to go to BOS first. Or at least it was.
The MCO base also serves as a reserve base for the entire state. I have taken limos from mco to every single city we serve in Florida.
