Did we get a list of which stations got cut? I know BUF and BTV were the few smaller stations that had AO and GO.
It was interesting to see the announcement of new routes next to sorry you are out of a job in the HJB comment section.
Did CHS get cut because that wouldn’t be good for our one HJB chs poster. (You know who he is)
I give it a few months before AO goes for a Union now. Outsourcing is such a bad idea.
I’m sure our CFO thinks it’s a great cost savings idea.

Somebody asked this on today’s company virtual meeting. I was sort of multitasking at the time (pornhub) but I think the answer was basically they hadn’t decided yet. Kind of extra sucky for those folks because, as I understand it, if they know they’re getting cut they could at least consider taking an opt out package now.

When I was at my Express carrier that was too common. Like RIC, RDU and even Akron. One time we waited 30 to 40 mins in BUF and Akron. Just sitting there burning through fuel with frustrated customers in the cabin. It was very refreshing to see in-house AO/GO when I started here, even saying to myself this is how a real operation works with rampers and gate agents always being there, now it seems it's going away for some of the smaller presence airports.

It might be just me but I’m not really disappointed in outsourcing the gate agents and baggage handlers. So many of our airports have a morning flight and then an afternoon flight. So they have to leave in the middle of the day. Much cheaper for not much difference in service.

2. The level of service will go down. If you ever worked for a regional, you will know this VERY well.
3. JB can no longer say they have never furloughed/layed off involuntarily. That may have minor implications for pilot furloughs as they no longer need to protect that "talking point". Unless they offer all of them positions elsewhere in the company.
But yes it will save money...

1. Sad for those affected.
