What’s the cost of scheduling a day turn from BOS-DFW-BOS at 8 plus hours, realizing they’re going to time out in DFW, calling every DFW commuter at 9p on their day off (@ EMA/JRA , positive space back, 2 duty periods pay)...assuming of course said persons are not in say.... a bar....then when they can’t find a crew, repositioning the plane to AUS at 1030p, grabbing a crew there, and then landing in BOS at 4a? Asking for a friend.

Im certainly no expert on staffing an airline or the system bid process, but I would assume the JBU new FO pipeline and numbers of qualified applicants have been factored in here.

That’s about what I figured for a five year Airbus FO. Just based on hourly, my math showed 93 credit hours to equal a 190 reserve CA.

Yep. I've flown with several 190 CA's who are junior on reserve and recently upgraded. A bunch of them I think have a little buyer's remorse.
